| Par sevi: | Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (born March 20 1986), better know by stage name Lady GaGa, is an American electro-pop singer-songwritter and producer.Lady GaGa was born and grew up in New York and studied at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.She started working on music industry at age of 20, her first album, ‘The Fame‘ was released in the U.S. on October 28 2008.Her so called glamophonic-retro-80’s-pop style calls more attention than her music, it’s incluenced by glam rockers Queen and David Bowie and the U.S. 1980’s pop culture.
Lady GaGa was born in New York to an Italian family.As a child she learned how to play the piano by herself at age of 4.At the age of 17 she was accepted into New York University Tisch School of the Arts where she studied music.After studying at the university, GaGa left her parents house and started performing in the Lower East Side club scene.
In the early years of Lady GaGa in music industry (at age of 19) she was working as songwritter for lots of bands and popstars including Britney Spears, Pussycat Dolls, Fergie and The New Kids on the Block.After singer-songwriter and record producer Akon recognised that Gaga also had vocal talent, he signed her to a joint deal with his own label, Kon Live Distribution, and then started to work on her own new material for her debut album.
In January 2008, GaGa signed to Interscope Records and started working on her debut album ‘The Fame‘, ‘it’s about how anyone can feel famous’ she explains, ‘Pop culture is art. It doesn’t make you cool to hate pop culture, so I embraced it and you hear it all over The Fame. But, it’s a sharable fame. I want to invite you all to the party. I want people to feel a part of this lifestyle’.
The album’s lead singe, ‘Just Dance‘ debuted on April 8 2008, however, the song started to receive radio airplay in the U.S. only by October 2008 and hit #1 spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles in December 2008.The song was the third most downloaded song peakin | | |
