Darbība: Millionaires started on the beautiful day of August 14th 2007. It was a quite sunny day, just like any other day in Huntington Beach, California; a perfect day to fly a medium-sized vibrant rainbow butterfly kite. But instead, Melissa and Allison Green (yes, they're sisters) started to become inquisitive about their new Apple desktop and decided to "fuck around" on Garageband. After two hours of intense physical labor filled with blood, sweat and piss, they came up with the first hit, 'I Like Money.' They decided that maybe since the Garageband loops and vocal recordings (aka yelling at the Apple desktop monitor since they had no recording system whatsoever) were SO AMAZING, they should make a music Myspace. They realized, upon creating the Myspace, that they did not have an extravagant name to go along with their new hit. The two quickly decided upon Millionaires because it tied into the name of the song, 'I Like Money.' Within hours after posting the first song, they received a shit load of online attention and wi
Intereses: Millionaires played the kind of set I wish I’d see more of: high-energy, hit-filled, and mercifully short — seven songs in 20 minutes (including “the new one!”). The three teenage girls and two DJs that make up Millionaires demonstrate a clear debt to Justice’s newish brand of electro-clash, and they dish out enough energetic spunk and raw sexual innuendo to make me feel old and embarrassed to be standing so close to the stage. Did I say “innuendo”? It wasn’t really, since there was nary a veiled allusion — songs like “In My Bed” evince more artless boy-craziness than sly intimations of carnal desire. I should mention their voices. It seems that in the way that everything ’80s is being re-recycled right now, someone has finally taken Moon Unit Zappa’s (or Dale Bozzio’s) Betty Boop squeak and tripled its power to be both awesomely sassy and highly irritating. The result was a full-frontal assault of sorts — with a lyrical focus on, uh, getting boys, getting paper, and beating (to a pulp) any girls who

What is it with Pete Wentz and girls who lip sync? His main squeeze got caught, and now some of the girls on his label, Decaydence had a similar little "whoopsie" on the Vans Warped Tour.

The girl group, Millionaires, got caught lip syncing. No, they weren't just allegedly lip-syncing. We are talking, full-on, CD skipped in the middle of their set. Don't believe me? Both Nathan of Madina Lake and Alexisonfire can tell you then.

As long as I can remember, Warped Tour has been about giving great music of any genre a home. I put up with bands I don't like on Warped Tour, because I can see their musical value. For instance, I'm not so big on Lights, but that girl is a real musician and she deserves everything she has.

But when you've got acts like Millionaires out there who, how can I put this nicely...I can't really. They suck. I'm sorry (not really). Anyone can mix together music they didn't write on Garageband. Saying that they make their own music using it to try and make it sound like they're real musicians isn't really fooling anyone.

Alright, so they can't mix their own music. So what? At least they can sing, right? No. They can't. So when you can't sing anyway, what do you gain by lip syncing? Seriously, most singers that have lip synced in the past could at least carry a tune or made albums that gave the illusion that they could sing. Not the case with these gals. So why lip sync when you can basically do whatever you want vocally and get away with it?

Aside from laziness, there really isn't a reason for lip syncing. And doing it on what is supposed to be a really respectable tour just makes things even worse.
